2020 Blizzard Brahma 180cm Demo
Back again for another year of all-mountain ripping, the 2020 Blizzard Brahma 88 has a slightly new title, but all the same strength and power. Due to the advent of the narrower Brahma 82, the 88 needed a slight name change. But the rest of the ski is still all there. With an 88 mm waist, these skis were born to run. Whether you're on the groomers or in the chunky stuff, the 88 underfoot hits a lot of the right notes when it comes to all-mountain versatility. Fantastic for all terrain, from moguls and trees to groomers and steeps, the Brahma 88 is a virtual Swiss-Army knife when it comes to hacking up and dancing through any and all snow conditions and terrain. In the powder, the 88 isn't a fat ski by any means, but the rocker/camber/rocker profile really helps with flotation and ease of release from turns. On the groomers, on the other hand, the 88 mm waist digs in really well to the hard snow, and the wood core with dual metal laminate provides a ton of power. Additionally, the skis have two layers of fiberglass, and these laminates add even more to the burliness of the ski. For many skiers, the advanced and expert nature of the Brahma 88 can feel prohibitive, but they are pretty approachable, and if you're in between sizes, sizing down is okay due to the construction.
